1:1 Coaching with Tami
You've done the thinking.
You've read the books, done the programs, had the conversations. You have real self-awareness and genuine desire to grow. And yet something hasn't quite landed yet. Not in your body. Not in the way you move through the world. Not in the way you take up space.
That's not a failure of effort. It's an invitation to go deeper.
This work might be for you if:
🌀 You know something needs to change, but you can't quite think your way through.
🌀 You've done the programs, the therapy, the self-development work. Some of it has helped. And yet there's a layer underneath that hasn't shifted. Something your body is still holding that your mind keeps trying to solve.
🌀 You want to feel more at home in yourself. Not as a concept. In the actual lived experience of your days.
🌀 You might be navigating a transition, a pattern you keep bumping into, a version of yourself that feels ready to emerge. Or you might simply know that the way you've been relating to your body, to stress, to your own needs, isn't working the way you'd like it to.
🌀 You're ready to slow down enough to listen.
🌀 This work isn't about fixing something that's broken. It's about building a different relationship with yourself. One that starts in the body.
How we work together
Working with me is not about being handed solutions or told what to do. It's about slowing down long enough to hear what's already there.
In our sessions, we follow what's alive in your body. What's present, what's held, what wants to move. We resource first, so you feel safe enough to go inward. Then we explore together, following the body's natural cycle of awareness, sensation, expression, and insight. What emerges isn't something I give you. It's something you uncover.
Clients often describe feeling truly seen. Not just heard. They leave sessions with a deeper trust in their own knowing, and with the capacity to meet themselves with more kindness than they arrived with.
This is slow work. Meaningful work. Work that doesn't end when the session does.
What becomes possible
People come to this work wanting different things. What they find is often something they didn't know to name when they arrived.
🌀 A deeper trust in their own knowing.
🌀 The capacity to feel what's happening in their body and actually listen to it, rather than override it.
🌀 More ease in decisions, boundaries, and saying no, not because they've learned a technique, but because they've come home to themselves.
🌀 The ability to take up space. To be visible. To move through the world with less bracing and more presence.
🌀 Patterns that once felt automatic begin to loosen. Not through force, but through the slow, steady practice of being with what's here.
🌀 And underneath all of it, a sense of belonging to yourself.

Somatic coaching isn't about talking about change. It's about feeling your way into it.
We work with what's happening in your body: sensation, breath, movement, stillness, and the wisdom your nervous system is already holding. Rather than analyzing what needs to shift, we create the conditions for something to actually shift.
This isn't about fixing anything. It's about coming home to yourself.

Sessions are 60 minutes and we meet over Zoom. We always begin with an arrival practice so you can settle in and be present with whatever you're bringing. From there we explore together using somatic modalities such as movement, breathwork, visualizations, and body awareness practices. We follow the body's natural cycle of awareness, sensation, expression, and insight, going at whatever pace feels right for you. We always end with integration time to help you process what emerged.

It varies, and I'll be honest with you. In my experience and what I have observed with past clients, the real depth of this work tends to emerge around session 6 and beyond. That's when patterns become more visible, trust deepens, and the body starts speaking more freely. The 12-session container is where I've seen the most meaningful and lasting change. That said, a 4 or 8-session package is a real and valid place to begin. We can talk about what feels right during your complimentary call.

Not at all. Curiosity and a willingness to explore are all you need. We go slowly and follow what feels right for you. My priority is regulation and presence for you, and we’ll move at the pace of your nervous system.

Somatic coaching is not therapy. While therapy often focuses on healing past wounds and treating mental health conditions, coaching supports you in building capacity and reconnecting with yourself in your current life. Many people do both and find they work well together. If you're navigating a crisis, depression, or other mental health concerns that need clinical support, therapy is likely the better fit. I'm happy to suggest resources if that feels more aligned for you.

I offer somatic coaching that creates space for exploration and growth. This work does not replace medical or mental health care. I do not diagnose, treat, or provide advice for physical or mental health conditions. My focus is on supporting your self-determined goals.

My fees reflect the value of this work and my own need for a sustainable livelihood. And I also know that cost can be a real barrier. If my fees feel out of reach right now, I'd rather you reach out than walk away. Please send me a note at tami@theknowingwell.ca, and let's see what might be possible.

If you have insurance benefits, it's definitely worth reaching out to your provider to see if sessions could be covered under Healthcare Spending Accounts.
